Recipe:
- Build in Boston Shaker
- 2 oz. dark rum
- 1 whole egg
- 1.5 oz. sugar
- 0.25 oz. coffee liquor (Mr. Black)
- 3 oz whole milk
- 2 oz. heavy cream
- Dry shake for at least 45 seconds
- Add ice and shake for an additional 20 seconds to fully chill
- Strain and serve in chilled rocks glass
- Garnish with cinnamon powder
Why it works:
Because this recipe uses an entire egg, you get the thick mouth feel that you expect from eggnog, while the dark rum and coffee liquor give it a complicated flavor that you can’t quite place.
